Dharali

Dharali is a small village located near the Harsil of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. This village is about 6 km from Harsil, which is situated at an altitude of about 650 meters above sea level. Dharali village is surrounded by dense forests of pine and deodar. This village is situated on Gangotri road. There is also a famous Shiva temple situated in the village. According to mythology, it is believed that King Bhagirath had done penance to bring Goddess Ganga on the earth at this place. This village is also famous for apple gardens. Sat Tal

Sat Tal is a group of seven lakes located near Harsil of Uttarkashi district. To reach Sat Tal, Dharali village is about 6 km away from Harsil and about 3 km trek from Dharali village. These lakes are surrounded by pine, deodar dense forests and majestic mountains. Sat Tal is an ideal place for trekking and nature lovers. To reach Sat Tal has to go through dense forests, beautiful villages, gardens of apple and rugged routes. After travelling difficult, feels a different happiness when reaching the Sat Tal. After reaching here, there is a beautiful view of the lakes and spectacular views of the majestic mountains get to see. Mukhwa Village

Mukhwa Village is a small village located near the Harsil of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. This village is about 1 km from Harsil, which is situated at an altitude of about 2622 meters above sea level. Mukhwa village is surrounded by dense forests of pine and deodar. This village is situated on Gangotri road. Mukhwa village is the residence of Goddess Gangotri. During the winter season, the gate of the Gangotri temple closes due to snowfall. At that time the statue of Goddess Ganga is brought to this village. Goddess Ganga is worshiped in this village for 6 months during winter. For 6 months, a large number of people comes to worship Goddess Ganga in this village. The beautiful view and quiet atmosphere here attracts tourists very much.
