Tourism business will be boosted by 13 new tourist destinations in Uttarakhand
13 new tourist places are being developed in the state to reduce the growing pressure on tourists in the state's traditional tourist destinations. Theme-based tourism sites will be developed to take tourists from Mussoorie, Lansdowne, Nainital, Chakrata, Ranikhet to other areas of the state. Work has started to develop 13 new tourist destinations.
Work has started in this direction after approval of 13 locations from state cabinet to be developed as a new tourist destination. These places were also selected by the committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary. In this, the Chief Secretary, Home, Finance, Co-operatives, Tourism included. The committee has selected theme-based tourist places in all districts for a year, studying the geographical conditions, atmosphere, weather, and 13 districts. The 13 new locations have been selected. This is the place where tourism development will help in stopping the growing migration in the state. The development of tourism will increase employment and self-employment opportunities.
As well as developing 13 new tourist destination of the state, Gairsian, Khirsu, Kasar Devi in Almora, Pithoragarh, Munsiyari and Udham Singh Nagar's pollen farm will be seen by the tourism department. This will encourage tourism activities.
Preparation to develop Tehri Lake as a major water sports destination has grown faster. The initiative will be taken by the National Institute of Water Sports to train the local youth to train water sports activities. For this, the National Institute of Water Sports will provide its services with the Rajeev Gandhi Adventure Sports Academy located in Koti Colony. Most of the young people operating the activities of water sports in Tehri Lake are now local. All of them will be trained on behalf of the institute. For this, the course of water sports course will be started from the institute. The institute will operate all these course from the Rajeev Gandhi Sports Academy located in Koti Colony.
In the state, a total of five thousand Home Stay will be prepared by the year 2020. For this, Secretary Tourism all instructed all District Tourism Development Officers to link more and more people with this scheme. So that, opportunities for self-employment can be increased in the tourism sector. The purpose of the Home Stay Plan is not only to promote tourism, but also to increase self-employment and to overcome the problem of escape. For this, the scheme will be promoted in the right way and through the banks, more financial will be provided. With this, simplifying the loan process is being made and the online system is being prepared.
The government has given industry status to the tourism business in the state. In the vicinity of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, it was decided to give industry status to tourism under MSME Policy. Dehradun Pantnagar and Dehradun Pithoragarh have started in Air Services flying plan. In just 1500 rupees, people have started taking advantage of the air travel to Pantnagar and Pithoragarh from Dehradun. Soon a regular air service will be started for six cities of Hindan Ghaziabad. Under Dehradun Pantnagar and later Dehradun Pithoragarh Air service was started under the flying plan. Pithoragarh, Srinagar Garhwal, Chinyalisaur, Gauchar, Almora, Lansdowne city air services will benefit the tourists from India and abroad after joining Hindan Ghaziabad directly.
Rishikesh Barrage from Tehri Lake and tour to Nainital Lake directly from here. That too within just one hour. These journeys will also be possible directly in Uttarakhand after a few months through direct Sea-Plane. Under the plan which has been drawn, one aircraft will be in Rishikesh Barrage and one in Nainital lake. From Rishikesh to Tehri Lake along with Nainital Lake tourists will be brought to Tehri Lake via Sea -Plane. Gradually the number and capacity of the aircraft will be magnified.
