Drona Sagar Lake Kashipur in Kashipur, Uttarakhand
Look, Drona Sagar Lake in Kashipur is an officially protected archaeological site associated with Guru Dronacharya of the Mahabharata. Surrounding the large stone pond are ancient brick fort mounds excavated by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
History & Mahabharata Connection
According to epic traditions, Guru Dronacharya trained the Pandavas and Kauravas in archery and warfare right beside this lake. The site features old temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.
