Kathgodam is an important town of Nainital district within the hill state of Uttarakhand. It serves as the nearest railhead to hill station of Nainital and is an important center for trade and commerce in itself. Kathgodam, being situated adjacent to Haldwani, is considered as its twin town. Kathgodam is situated in the Bhabhar region, on the foothills of Kumaon Himalayas. It is the last railhead en route picturesque Kumaon Himalayas. Every year, Kathgodam witnesses tourists in large numbers, most of who are usually headed to hill stations like Nainital and beyond. However, there are a quite a few interesting places in and around Kathgodam that are worth visiting.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pantnagar - Kathgodam
Pick-up from Pantnagar Airport, drive to Kathgodam. check in at hotel & relax, evening free for individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Kathgodam Local Sightseeing
Have your breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Kathgodam Local Sightseens, Sheetla Devi Temple, Kalichaud Temple, Hedakhan Ashram etc. Evening free for individual activates. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Kathgodam - Pantnagar
After early breakfast, drive back to Pantnagar. On arrive Pantnagar, transfer to Airport.
