Gopalji Temple in Nandprayag, Uttarakhand

Gopalji Temple is a famous temple located in Nandprayag of Chamoli district. This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. This temple has a beautiful statue of Lord Krishna's the eight metals. This statue was established in the year 1892 and this temple was constructed in the year 1918. Regarding this temple, it is said that King Nand came to this place in the last time of his life and worshipped Lord Vishnu. After the death of the last mahant of this temple, this temple was care taken over by the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee. During Krishna Janmashtami, devotees gather to worship in the temple.
