Ananda Spa Palace in Narendra Nagar, Uttarakhand

Ananda Spa Palace is a famous historical palace located in Narendra Nagar of Tehri district. This palace is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas in northern India. This palace is surrounded by dense forests of beautiful Sal trees. This palace was built by King Narendra Shah of Tehri kingdom. It came into discussion in the year 1903, when the then King of the Tehri Kingdom, Narendra Shah, decided to by removing the state capital Pratapnagar and to make in Narendra Nagar. Then they built a palace here, which is today known as named of Anand Spa Palace. Today this beautiful palace has been transformed into a hotel. Some of the historical things like the sword, shield, spear and cannon are still present in this beautiful palace. A beautiful garden outside the palace that has many types of flowers been planted. There is also a natural spa in this palace. It is believed that this spa has medicinal properties, in which by bathing, skin related diseases are cured. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
