uttarakhand Pilgrimage Places
Uttarakhand has several religious pilgrimages place, mainly Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Haridwar and Rishikesh. In Uttarakhand, there are Panch Prayag pilgrimages, such as Karnprayag, Vishnu Prayag, Rudraprayag, Nandprayag and Devprayag, where there is a confluence of major rivers of Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand, there are Panch Kedar religious pilgrimages like Kedarnath, Rudranath, Tungnath, Madhyamaheswar and Kalpeshwar. Apart from this, there are Panch Badri religious pilgrimages such as Badrinath, Adi Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Vriddh Badri and Yogdhyan Badri in Uttarakhand. Also, here Sikhs is an important Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage site, where every year the journey is done by the Sikhs.
In Uttarakhand, Haridwar is called the Hari Ka Dwar means is known as Gateway of God, and Rishikesh is considered the starting point of Chardham Yatra. Jageshwar is also a major pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand. It is said that at first Shivaling had fallen on this place on earth. Here is a group of many ancient temples.
