Folk Culture Museum in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand

The Folk Culture Museum is located in the town of Bhimtal in Nainital district. This museum is known mainly as Lok Sanskriti Sangrahalaya. This museum was founded by in 1983 Dr Yashodhar Mathpal. This museum has many things related to folk culture. In this museum can see some valuable artefacts with a large collection of tourist photographs. In this museum, objects related to various archaeological objects and rock art are also displayed. Tourists can also see objects such as folk painting, wooden artefacts, ancient manuscripts, idols of gods and goddesses, brass and copper utensils, costumes and agricultural equipment etc in this museum.

The journey of Folk Culture Museum can be done throughout the year, but the best time to visit here is between the months of October to May. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to snowfall on the surrounding hills in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
