The Regimental Museum is a famous museum located in Lansdowne of district Pauri Garhwal. The museum was inaugurated in the year 1983. This museum has been named after Darban Singh Negi. Darban Singh Negi was the first Indian soldier to be awarded the Victoria Cross, who had worked with the first battalion of 39th Garhwal Rifles during 1st World War. In this war, they with his battalion defeated the Germany army and move to the forefront. Looking at his heroism, he was awarded Victoria Cross. This museum was built in Lansdowne in honour of them. This museum is situated near the Parade Ground in Lansdowne. It is a two-storeyed building, in which there is many information about the origins and achievements exists of the Garhwal Rifles. In this museum, there is a detailed collection of weapons, old uniforms, the photo of Army Generals and citations signed by British Royalty.
