Dhari Devi Temple in Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand
Dhari Devi Temple is a famous ancient temple located in Srinagar Garhwal of Uttarakhand state. This holy temple is situated at Kaliyasaur on Badrinath Road, about 15 km from Srinagar Garhwal. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali Mata. It is said that the upper half of the statue of Dhari Devi came here through the river Alaknanda, since then, the idol is present on here. Since then, here as the Dhari Devi, is worshipped of the idol.
The lower part of the idol is situated in Kalimath, where is worshipped as Mata Kali. According to the priests of the temple, it is the story that one night when the flow of water in the river was high due to heavy rains. A woman heard a loud sound near the village of Dhari, from which the people of the village were scared, that no incident has happened with any woman. When the people of the village went to that place, they saw a statue floating in the water.
Somehow the villagers extracted the statue with water, After extracted the statue, the voice of Goddess in a few moments gave them orders to established the idol in the same place. Since then, the people of Dhari village gave this place the name of Dhari Devi. In the temple, the mother Dhari is worshipped by the priests of Dhari village. In the Dhari Devi temple, devotees keep coming in large numbers for an every year mother's darshan.

During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to snowfall on the surrounding hills in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
