Mukteshwar is a hill station located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. Nainital is about 47 km away from here. The name of Mukteshwar is named after Lord Shiva's temple 'Mukteshwar Temple', the meaning of Mukteshwar - which gives liberation (salvation), which means Lord Shiva. The famous Mukteshwar temple is one of the main attractions of this hill station. Chauli ki jali rock is popular in Mukteshwar because of the adventure games here rock climbing and rappelling, and here tourists enjoy watching beautiful scenery all around.
