Jhirna in Corbett, Uttarakhand

Jhirna Zone is one of the popular zones located in Corbett National Park. Corbett National Park was divided into six zones, the Jhirna zone was added in the year 1994. The Jhirna zone is known as the easiest and best zone. This zone is located about 16 km from Ramnagar, whose entry point is Jhirna Gate or Khar Gate. Jhirna zone is open for tourists throughout the year. For excursions to the Jhirna zone, Jeep safari and Elephant safari are available here, whose booking is done in wildlife Office of Ramnagar. To go to the tourist Jhirna zone, take it to entry permit for Safari, which is the forest officials are shown at the entrance, after that, get the gate is allowed inside. Jhirna used to be a village before, which was transferred to another place under the Tiger project. During the excursion in this zone, like the tiger, many other wild animals and birds can be easily seen.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Jhirna is between the months of September to May. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to cold in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of rains.
