The Nelong Valley is a beautiful valley situated in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state. The Nelong Valley is located inside the Gangotri National Park of Gangotri Area. This valley at the elevation of about 11,000 feet. The Nelong Valley is connected to the Indo-Tibetan Border. Since the Indo-China war in 1962, this valley was closed for the come and go of the citizens, but before the war, it was the main route for the India-Tibetan trade.
