Surya Kund is a beautiful natural waterfall located in Gangotri area of Uttarkashi district. This kund is about 500 meters from the famous Gangotri temple. This kund is dedicated to the sun god. After visiting the pilgrim Gangotri temple, In the Surya Kund goes to pay homage to the sun god. Therefore this Kund is known as named of Surya Kund. On the one side of the iron bridge, the Surya Kund and the other side is located the Gauri Kund. Surya Kund waterfall is the center of attraction for pilgrims. The Bhagirathi river flowing down from the deep valleys creates a panoramic view.
