Vasuki Tal is a beautiful natural lake situated in Kedarnath of Uttarakhand state. This lake is surrounded by the Himalayan peak at an elevation of 4,150 meters above sea level. From Kedarnath, Vasuki Tal can be reached through trek. It is about 8 km away from Kedarnath. According to mythology, it is believed that Lord Vishnu had a bath in the water of this natural lake, that is why this lake is known as Vasuki Tal. The best time to travel to the Vasuki Tal is between from the months of September to November and April to Jun. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. In the winter season, the journey of here is closed for 6 months. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to heavy snowfall in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
