Dodi Tal is a famous lake located in Uttarkashi. Dodital is a Panna lake surrounded by high mountains at an altitude of about 3310 meters above sea level. This Tal is one of the most beautiful high altitude lakes of North India due to its quiet and beautiful atmosphere. The name of Dodital is named after the rare Himalayan brown trown species of fishes. This lake is one of the very few water bodies, where Himalayan brown trown is found. Dodital is considered a mysterious tal. According to legends, this tal is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha. This tal is also known as the of Ganesh lake or Ganesh Tal.
