Divya Shila Yamunotri Uttarakhand

Divya Shila is a rock pillar located in Yamunotri. This Shila is near the Yamunotri temple. Located on an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level, this rock pillar is the center of attraction, next to the Surya Kund. This place is visited by devotees before entering the temple. According to religious rituals, devotees have to worship and darshan this Divya Shila before entering the holy Yamunotri temple.

The trek to Divya Shila e is a full day one with a 6 km walk from Hanuman Chatti and 4km from Janki Chatti. The trek is usually dominated by rugged peaks and dense forests. You can have horses and palanquins on rent.

Best Time To Visit:-

The best time to travel to the Divya Shila is between from the months of September to November and April to Jun. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. In the winter season, the journey of here is closed for 6 months. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to heavy snowfall in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
