Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple Chopta Uttarakhand

Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple is located in the village Saari near Chopta of Uttarakhand state. This popular temple is devoted to the Nag Devta. To reach this temple is 1 km trek, which begins with Saari village. This temple is on the Deoria Tal route from Saari village. Inside the temple, there is a lingam, surrounded by the shape of a snake made of copper from around it. One feature of this popular temple is that, when water falls above the lingam, it falls down into a snake-like shape. This temple has great religious significance. Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple is the centre of attraction in Chopta.

The best time to visit Omkar Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple is between the months of September to November and March to May. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to heavy snowfall in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains threatening landslides.
