Lal Tibba in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand

Lal Tibba is a beautiful tourist destination located in Mussoorie of Dehradun District. Lal Tibba is also known as named of 'Depot Hill', which is the tallest point in Mussoorie. This place is situated in the Landour area, which is the oldest populated area of Mussoorie. A depot is made up in this area. Doordarshan and All India Radio (AIR) towers are set up also here. Here above the hill, the base of the Indian military army is also deployed. Tourists can also see old houses and buildings representing British architectural styles on here. From this point get to see a wonderful view of the sunrise and sunset. At this point, the telescope has been installed by the municipality. From this telescope can be seen from Bandarpunch and the magnificent snowy peaks of the Himalayas. Besides, the area around the Doon valley and Mussoorie can also be seen. The journey of Lal Tibba can be done throughout the year, but the best time to visit here is between the months of October to May. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to snowfall on the surrounding hills in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains.
