Kuari Pass is situated in Garhwal Himalayas. used extensively by the local shepherds, exploring this route is one of the richest manners to get a full view of the splendid Himalayas. Their imposing and scenic presence can be witnessed from atop Kuari, which literally means “a getaway”. Kuaripass means "door way". He made the trek, and since then it is also known as the Curzon trail.The main attraction of it is the imposing view of the eastern peaks of Garhwal Himalayas, the twin peaks of Nanda Devi, Kamet, Dronagiri, Trishul, Bertholi, Hathi Ghodi Parvat, Mana, and Neelkanth peaks. The trek passes through Pristine Rhododendron, oak and deodar forest.The Kuari Pass trek is a highly varied & scenic trek.

The Kuari Pass trek gives you a chance to view this impressive skyline of these mighty mountains from close quarters. The trek then proceeds through small remote Himalayan villages. Walking along the Curzon trail through these villages is a great way to get acquainted with the life of the mountain folks. The trees are ablaze in the yellow-orange colors of autumn, striking a deep contrast to the blue-brown mountains and the snow caps. On this trek one walks through gorgeous jungles of Oak and Deodar trees. And these jungles, of course, are house to some wildlife. Pug marks of leopards or Himalayan black bears can be sighted in the forests. Rhododendron trees, which bear flowers of a fiery red color, are also found in abundance in these mountains.

Kuari which means "doorway" is a Himalayan high mountain pass situated in the Garhwal region of northern India, south of the Tibetan border and on the western rim of the "Nanda Devi Sanctuary" Biosphere Reserve and falls in the Chamoli district. The Kuari Pass Trek found fame in the early 1900's when intrepid adventurers and mountaineers such as Lord Curzon, Eric Shipton and Bill Tilman used the passage in their pioneering explorations of the region.The Kuari Pass trek is known as The Curzon Trail (named after the former British Viceroy Of India "Lord Curzon").

Winter Kuari pass trek is famous for its views. The views on the winter Kuari Pass trek are often cited as the best in the Indian Himalayas. It is not hard to discover why. To the north of the Kuari Pass is the Chaukhamba Range, while the summits of Mana (7272m), Kamet (7756m) and Abl Gamin (7355m) extend to the Tibet border.In the middle foreground, a number of spectacular peaks including Dunagiri (7066m) and Changabang (6864m) enclose the Nanda Devi Sanctuary while to the west the snowcapped ranges extend to Gangotri.

Day 01: Rishikesh -Joshimath (245 kms/8-9 hrs)

Drive to Joshimath (2750m) via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, Karnprayag and Nandprayag, the most famous confluences of Garhwal Himalayas. Lunch enroute. Arrival at Joshimsth by evening. Upon arrival at Joshimathi check in to Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 02: Joshimath /Auli - Chitrakantha (3310 mts/10857 ft) 15 kms/6-7 hrs

Early in the morning After breakfast drive to Auli one can see the magnificent view of Nanda Devi peak. we will start our trek from Auli. Enroute we will cross the famous Bugyals (meadows) of Gorson and from here we can see the entire range of Nanda Devi sanctuary, along the Rishi Ganga. Dinner and overnight stay in Camps.

Day 03: Chitrakantha - Kuaripass - Dakhwani

In the morning after breakfast we will trek to Dakhwani via the Lord Curzon trail Kuaripass. The route is full of thrill. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 04: Dakhwani - Pana (2450 mts/8036 ft) 14 kms/5-6 hrs

In the morning after breakfast trek to Pana. Enroute we will find lush green meadows, water falls, snow clapped mountains and much more. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 05: Pana - Ramni (2550 mts/8364 ft) 17 kms/5-6 hrs

In the morning after breakfast we will trek to Ramni village. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 06: Ramni - Ghat (1330 mts/4363 ft) 15 kms trek/4 hrs - Srinagar

In the morning we will trek downwards to reach roadhead Ghat and from here drive to Srinagar (110 kms/3 hrs). dinner and overnight stay in hotel

Day 07: Srinagar - Rishikesh (105/130 kms/4 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Rishikesh. On arrival at Rishikesh tour end.
