Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand

Tibetan Buddhist Temple is a famous buddhist temple located in Mussoorie of Dehradun district. This temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha. The idol of Lord Buddha is established in this temple. This temple is an example built from Tibetan architecture. The meditation room of this temple has been carved with beautiful paintings on walls, panels and ceilings. In the year 1959, when the 14th Dalai Lama came to Mussoorie, many Tibetans came here too. This temple is also known as Shedup Buddhist Temple. There is also a prayer meditation hall with prayer wheels in this temple premises. The Tibetan Buddhist Temple was the first Tibetan temple to be built in India, which was sanctified by the Dalai Lama. This temple offers a magnificent view of the Benog hill. The journey of Tibetan Buddhist Temple can be done throughout the year, but the best time to visit here is between the months of October to May. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to snowfall on the surrounding hills in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of heavy rains.
