Hanuman Garhi is a famous temple located in Nainital. This temple is situated at an altitude of about 1955 meters above sea level. This temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. In this sacred temple, the statue made of metal of Lord Krishna, Lord Rama and Mata Sita and Baba Neem Karoli Maharaj has been established. Hanuman Garhi itself has a large observatory. This place has a temple of Lord Hanuman temple, Alva Devi temple, Shiv Temple and Mata Anjana. Lord Hanuman is considered as the 11th incarnation of Lord Shiva. This temple was built in the year 1950 by "Neem Karoli Baba". About the construction of this temple, the local people say that there was a dense forest here first. There was a clay hillock in the forest, where sit down Baba Neem Karoli used to chant "Ram Naam" for a year. Seeing all this, the trees and plants present there started chanting Lord Rama's name. Seeing this amazing scene, Baba performed Kirtan. After the kirtan ended, Bhandara organized, But when the ghee was reduced while making the offerings, Baba dropped a pot of water in the embroidery, Miracle happened when the water itself turned into ghee. It is said about the temple that whatever devotee who prays with a true heart and vow, his wish is fulfilled. Every year there is a crowd of devotees remains in this temple.
