Naini Lake In Nainital Uttarakhand


Naini Lake is a beautiful natural lake located in Nainital. This lake is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations of Nainital. This lake is also known as named of 'Tri-Rishi-Sarovar'. It has been mentioned in Skanda Purana. It is said that when Atri, Pulastya and Pulaha Rishi did not get somewhere water in Nainital, then they dug a pit and brought water from Mansarovar lake and filled in that. It is said that by dipping here virtue is received. This lake appears in the shape of a pear. Millions of tourists come here to enjoy boating in this lake. Tourists can enjoy boating in the lake like, Yachting, Rowing and Paddling. In lake water, the reflection of the surrounding mountains is visible. In the night time, the lights of the surrounding bulbs further enhance its beauty. The northern edge of this lake is called 'Mallital' and the southern edge is called 'Tallital'.
