Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

Parmarth Niketan is a famous biggest ashram located in Rishikesh. This Ashram is situated on the banks of holy river Ganges. This ashram was founded in the year 1942 by Saint Shukdevanand Ji Maharaj. Parmarth Niketan is the biggest ashram of Rishikesh. There are more than 1000 rooms in this ashram. In this ashram, 14 feet high statue of Lord Shiva has been set up. In this ashram, worship, yoga, meditation, satsang and kirtan are performed every morning, and in the evening there are Ganga-aarti too. Apart from this, in the ashram, Ayurvedic medicine and Ayurvedic training are also given. Within the ashram, there are beautiful idols, which are made on the basis of mythology. This ashram is known for purity, spirituality and high ideals. This ashram is the main centre of devotion and spirituality. There is also a proper arrangement for rest in the ashram at night. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to cold in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of rains.
