Shantikunj is a religious pilgrimage centre located in Haridwar of Uttarakhand state. This is an ashram for a social and spiritual awakening. Shantikunj was established in the year 1971 by Acharya Shri Ram Sharma. This place is the samadhi site of Acharya Shri Ram Sharma and his wife Bhagwati Devi Sharma. During his lifetime Acharya Shri Ram Sharma used to meet with the devotees here, therefore Shantikunj is considered to be the most sacred place. The idol of Gayatri Mata is installed inside the Shantikunj. It is said that near idol of Gayatri Mata, the lamp has been burning continuously since 1926. Various forms of Ma Gayatri can be seen in this place. Here, about 24 lakh Gayatri Mantras are sung daily by a dedicated spiritual seeker. This is a centre which provides training to people based on divine spiritual principles. The sacred symbol sign of all religions at this place, the rare garden of herbivorous and from the establishment of the Gayatri family can see the exhibition based on the present time. Shantikunj is the headquarter of the spiritual and social organization All-World Gayatri Family (AWGP). Shantikunj is one of the main religious places of Haridwar.

The journey of Shantikunj can be done throughout the year, but the best time to visit here is between the months of October to March. Travelling here in these months is the best and enjoyable. During the winter season, the weather of here is cold. Due to cold in the winter season, the temperature of here goes down very much. Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of rains.
