Asan Barrage in Dehradun, Uttarakhand
Asan Barrage is located in Dhalipur village of Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. Asan Barrage is situated on the border of Uttarakhand-Himachal Pradesh, about 41 km from Dehradun. It was built in 1967 on the banks of the confluence of Asan and Yamuna two rivers. Asan Barrage is about 287 meters long, with a water level of around 403 meters. This reservoir is popularly also known as named of Dhalipur Lake. This lake size is not large enough, but it is the ideal place to see different types of colourful birds.
