Clock Tower is a historic and major landmark located in the Dehradun city. The clock tower is also known locally as a 'Ghanta Ghar'. The clock tower is located in the centre of Dehradun city, where the names of freedom fighters are marked in a plaque. Its construction was started in the year 1948 and was completed in the year 1953. This monument was inaugurated by honourable Lal Bahadur Shastri. It was created before of the India independence by the British. This tower is 85 meters long, which is a typical architecture of six corners. This tower is surrounded by many business centres. Near to the tower, Dehradun is the most famous market platan market of the city, which is in front of the tower.
