Santala Devi Temple in Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Surrounded by dense pine forests and overlooking the confluence of the Nun and Suarna rivers, it offers both spiritual solace and scenic trekking views.
History & Bravery Legend
Legend has it that Goddess Santala and her brother Santaut fought valiantly against invading Mughal forces on this hill. Realizing they were surrounded, the siblings prayed to the divine mother, transforming into stone statues on the spot to preserve their honor.
The 2 km Pine Forest Trek
To reach the temple, visitors take a 2 km stone staircase trek starting from Punjabiwala village. The trail winds through aromatic pine woods with tea stalls along the path. Saturdays are considered particularly holy for special Pujas.

Due to heavy rains in the rainy season, it is a bit difficult to travel of here because of rains.
